Dr. Marla grew up in Forsyth, Montana where she had always been interested in health and wellness. She found inspiration in her family by seeing first-hand the dedication to the well-being of others. Her father was a veterinarian, her mother a nurse, and her two brothers were dentists.
She attended Montana State University in Bozeman. While there she had the opportunity to visit a chiropractor who took care of many different types of people, including the MSU athletes. She was inspired that the chiropractic model of health and wellness focuses on the individual and is centered on the philosophy that the human body will heal itself given the right opportunity and circumstances. She decided to attend chiropractic school at Northwestern College of Chiropractic where her brother was going to school. She graduated in 1988 and purchased Hilltop Family Chiropractic in Eagan in 1989. She has remained in Eagan since that time and has, in turn, inspired several of her patients to go to school and become chiropractors.
She believes the very best part of being a chiropractor is in knowing that every patient that walks in the door with a problem, also walks in with the solution inside of them. Her role as a chiropractor is to promote the healing process by locating and removing any interference or blockage in the nerve system which may be interfering with the ability of the body to express its maximum health potential. She also inspires, empowers, and provides the tools to help her patients to live a healthier lifestyle. This includes proper diet, exercise, and stress reduction. She finds that patients who own a greater understanding of exactly what it means to be “healthy” can make the best health decisions for themselves and their families. She is truly proud that her chiropractic practice is comprised of families who choose chiropractic as part of a healthy lifestyle.
